The most important part of your phone

The most important part of your phone is...

The camera?

The screen?

The storage space?

The processor?

Well... you can have a beautiful and fast phone with a super good camera, a beautiful screen and a lot of storage, but if it has a battery that does not have that much capacity or is worn out, then the fun is quickly over.

That's why it's so important to take good care of your battery, so you can enjoy your phone for much longer.

And then we haven't even talked about the situation where you are unable to charge the battery, but you really need the phone. For example, due to an accident or illness. And then you suddenly realize how nice it is that it lasts a long time! That's why this article contains a number of tips to ensure that your battery stays healthy for as long as possible.

To maximize your phone battery life, here are some helpful tips:

  • Charge the battery regularly to avoid complete discharge.

  • It is better to keep the battery charged between 20% and 80% instead of letting it run out completely first or constantly charging it to 100%. This tip also applies to your e-bike battery! More tips about your e-bike battery can be found here: ' How to make your bike battery last the longest '.

  • Use the original charger: Use the charger and charging cable that came with your phone, or at the very least a reliable replacement from a reputable brand.

  • Avoid extreme temperatures: Batteries perform best at room temperature, extreme heat or cold can cause damage.

  • Don't always use the fast charging function: While fast charging is convenient, frequent use can negatively affect your battery in the long run.

  • Keep your phone software up to date: Software updates often optimize battery usage and also often provide better performance. Win-win!

  • Limit battery-intensive apps: Power-hungry apps (such as navigation and especially games) can drain your battery faster.

  • Turn off features when you're not using them: think of Bluetooth, GPS, and WiFi if you don't need them temporarily.

  • Power saving mode: turn on power saving mode when your battery is low. Then you can at least be reached in an emergency or at least call an emergency service yourself.

By following these tips, you can significantly extend the life of your battery.
